Welcome to the best kept secret in California's
Central Sierra Nevada, The Shaver Basin
This region is a year around mecca for outdoor recreational activities. It's a wonderful community in which to work and raise a family. It's a great place to retire and a very popular location for a second home.
Geographically, this untapped recreational mecca sits between
Yosemite and King's Canyon/Sequoia National Parks. Herein lie the Dinkey Creek,
Kaiser, John Muir
and Ansel Adams Wilderness areas as well as the Pacific Crest and
Muir Trails. Come see majestic falls, giant Sequoias at McKinley Grove
and unique granite rock formations usually associated with Yosemite.
Travellers from Southern California will find this Sierra jewel as close as many of the popular Eastern Sierra vacation spots, but far less crowded. Visitors from the Monterey Penninsula will have a leisurely four to five hour drive, depending upon their final destination. If you live in the San Francisco or Sacramento regions, look us over by reviewing this website and then come visit us. You'll love the experience here in the western Sierra. Then tell your friends and co-workers how much fun you had!
